Todd Burrus

2020, 4-H Hall of Fame Award

Todd Burrus

Todd Burrus is owner of Burrus Seed, a family owned and operated seed company. He and his business are an integral part of the local economy. Todd Burrus is a third-generation owner-operator of Burrus Seed Farms, an independent regional seed corn and soybean company. Todd has held both production and general management roles in his 40+ year tenure. Todd has served on several boards including the University of Illinois Department of Agronomy, the First National Bank of Arenzville (chairman of the board), Todd is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He enjoys working with his family in the business, including both of his children. Todd gives credit to 4-H for giving him the skills needed to run a large business. Record keeping, leadership, communications and hard work were all skills he learned through 4-H. As a member Todd was on the State Livestock Judging Team. Todd is also an award sponsor and even manages to raise a few pigs that 4-H members purchase and raise to become show animals. Todd is a shining example of what the 4-H program can do for you.
